For those who want to try out the new Office 2010 suite before it’s launch, take part in the beta testing program here:

The new office package from Microsoft includes the innovative ribbon bar that was launched in the previous version, but adds many features to the list, including new picture editing tools, mini graphs in Excel and many more advanced features.

Microsoft plan to ditch their 60-day evalulation versions which are currently preloaded onto new systems in favour of a reduced functionality version – Office 2010 Starter.  This also includes adverts and banners, but for those requiring a simple office suite, you can’t go wrong and you wont have to pay anything!  To unlock the full potential, simply purchase the required licence from an authorised retailer.  This starter version is to replace the currently featured Microsoft Works which you find on many new systems of today.
